The Winslow was the PERFECT spot for our engagement party the Friday before new years. We had a roped off section so our friends could enjoy without having to mix with other people. The staff was so so sweet and attentive making sure we ha everything we needed and checking in constantly. We had some party platter food that was delicious and they didn't overcharge like so many other places in the city. We were slated to be there from 6-9 but once the DJ started no one wanted to leave and we ended up staying until 1am! The space is so cute and the team is wonderful I would highly recommend hosting an event here or just coming in for one of their amazing cocktails!! THANK YOU!!!
We went to this bar after dinner. The bouncers were incredible. They were so fun to talk to and banter with. When we got in there was a decent crowd but it didn't feel too crowded. Their music was amazing. They made my espresso martini the way I loved it. The drinks were affordable so much that I was so shook by my bill. I would 100% come back to this place.
I can’t speak to the food here so I put a five stars for the food but the drinks are pretty good. I like them and the prices aren’t really bad. They have happy hours as well. I would just say that it’s quiet during the week, especially weeknights not a really exciting place to go. I would recommend going on the weekends and again they’re not as prepared for the service when it does get busy so that would be the only callout. Cocktails are really good as well. I would definitely come back and try the food because it does look interesting but I will try that next time.
Excellent food and atmosphere. The server was super pleasant and laid back and the food was delicious and somewhat unique without being overly outside of the norms.
Overall it was an awesome experience and glad we tried it put! A++
Good for a first or last drink _at the bar_ near the East Village.
Decent beer selection. Generally friendly service.
It’s got a happy hour energy, which I only notice if I’ve ordered a happy hour drink or dish.
Sitting at a table makes a difference.
They change specials daily (?) and I’ve ordered happy hour drinks here twice when sitting at a table.
The server shows up constantly during happy hour you’re not at the bar and is chatting at the bar when happy hour was over. Both times we moved to the bar. Great service.
Sit at the bar and service is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had just walked 3 miles through the city and wanted to sit down, relax and have a bite to eat and something to drink. There was no hostess at the front, so we walked in and found a nice spot towards the back with a nice and cozy bench. All the tables were empty, so we thought we could just grab any place. We were just about to sit down when a waitress came up and wanted to seat us at a 2 person high top, which at the time looked very uncomfortable to us. We asked if we could sit on the comfortable bench since all the tables were empty and only reluctantly the waitress let us sit there. This made us feel very weird and intrusive. We figured let's just grab an appetizer and get the heck out of this place.
Next weird thing was that we had to surrender our credit card to start a tab and couldn't get it back until we checked out. To make the entire experience bad, they charge a no-cash surcharge of 3.5%. They demand a credit card and then they charge you for using it. Ridiculous! The 3.5% came right off the tip, I don't like surprise charges like that.
The cheese curds were good but again, expensive.
Have been to this place for trivia many times. Every time it’s a blast! Trivia starts at 730 but the happy hour ends at 7, so we get there early to enjoy the drinks. Their food is pretty good too. I really liked the caesar salad and the fries. My friend enjoyed the mac and cheese and said the french onion soup was OK. Excited to go back for another trivia night! (Forgot to take a pic before we are the salad and mac and cheese… oops!)
The service at this place is outstanding. We wanted to watch a basketball game while a hokey game was on and they actually moved us to a different section and put on the game for us.
The beer selection is pretty wide and the food was decent bar food.
Would recommend for a weekend sports bar experience on the east side for sure!
